Eileen Augustyn - Increasing Your Income
Eileen Augustyn was born and raised in Springfield, Illinois. Against her mother's wishes, she married at age 19. In 1952, her husband was in a severe accident at the research center where he worked and became a partial paraplegic. Eileen was left as the sole breadwinner and worked two jobs to make ends meet. One of those jobs was with a law firm, which she enjoyed very much. She was married for twenty-three years and then, after her divorce, moved to St. Louis.
Eileen worked as the Vice President of a bank in St. Louis for twenty-three years. During this time, she remarried an old friend, Stan Hoge. She also attended UGA's Terry School of Business to get her MBA. It was during this time that one of her bank clients, Frank Augustyn, became friends with Eileen and her husband. After Stan passed away in 2000, Frank began to court Eileen and finally convinced her that they were perfect for each other.
Frank and Eileen were married for twenty-three years. Frank was a lawyer who had served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam before getting his law degree at age 50. Eileen believes it was his military service that influenced his support for CARE. They were very happy in Gulfstream Florida for many years until Frank was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. Eileen immediately began investigating where they could both live and be close to each other and they moved in December of 2018 to Lourdes Noreen McKeen Residences. Frank lived in the memory care area and she has a home in independent living. Frank passed away on January 1, 2019 and was buried at Arlington Cemetery with full military honors.
